• Contact me and let me know you're interested
I will always respond within 24 hours. If I am available on the requested date, I will send you everything you need to know, including information about pricing and packages. If I am not available, I will happily offer you a referral.
• Set up a meeting
I always prefer to meet in person over coffee as long as it is convenient. We can also connect by Skype or phone chat if time is limited. I'll go over my approach to working with couples and you'll share with me your goals with regards to photography. We'll discuss pricing and packages and of course, we'll review any questions and concerns you may have.
• Sign the contract and pay the retainer
Assuming we hit it off at our initial meeting, the next step is to simply confirm that you would like to book and to specify exactly which services you want. I will then email the contract. Just sign and return along with the 30% retainer check by mail and you're date is confirmed!
• Final payment
The remaining balance plus any additional items added after contract signing is due one week before the wedding.
• Set up your beloved session
If you have booked a Beloved session with me, we will first set a date for the shoot. As that date approaches, we'll go over everything from location to wardrobe. These sessions tend to be on the more causal side. I want you guys feeling comfortable in your own shoes. That said, I tend to lean towards quieter, more secluded locations. As the day approaches, I will send you a few tips on what you can do to prepare for the session. I will send a sneak peak of five or so images within 24 hours and the rest will be available for download within 2 weeks.
• Maintain communication
I am always available should you have any questions or concerns regarding wedding photography, or anything else for that matter! If you want to pick my brain over coffee, let’s do it! If you'd rather talk politics over a glass of wine or a beer, that's cool too! I am your friend as much as I am your photographer, so feel free to reach out anytime.
• Scout the venue
I always scout the venue before shooting, either the day of the wedding or earlier. This ensures a smooth process for group photos, portraits and the first look. If you are planning to scout your venue with your coordinator or on your own, please let me know as I would very much like to plan together. If your venue is too far, I will plan on arriving 30 minutes early to confirm locations.
• Final meeting
I like to schedule a meeting one week before your wedding day to go over any last minute details and to be sure we are all on the same page. We can go over your final timeline and any other questions you may have. We can do this by phone or in person. If things get too busy, we can always finalize things by email.
Wedding Day Process
• The sneak peak...
I know you’re probably dying to see your photos, so within 48 hours of your wedding, I will send you a link with 10 or so of my favorite images. You can share this link with friends and family too!
• Gallery access and image download
Your password-protected online gallery will be available within four weeks of your wedding day. From this gallery, you can view images, select favorites, order prints (optional) or download individual low or full resolution images. You can download the entire set as well. There will be a separate access code to download images. Galleries are provided by Pixieset.
I always work directly with the client to create the perfect layout. I do not insist on making the layout for you. This is your wedding album so you should definitely have an opinion on the layout!
It’s a very easy process. First, you will select and submit 50 - 60 of your favorite images, which can easily be done in your Pixieset gallery. Next, I will put together a layout and send it to you by DropBox. You can add notes directly on each page. I will make the requested changes and we will continue this process until we have the right layout. I will confirm your requested finish and color before submitting the layout for printing. The album will be shipped directly to your home. Printing takes approximately two weeks.
Turnaround time ultimately depends on how many drafts we create. Usually the whole process takes about 1 month.
Again, I will work directly with you on this as well. You'll make your selections, give me two or three songs that are particularly meaningful to you and I will put everything together for you. You will receive a quicktime movie file delivered via DropBox approximately 1 - 2 weeks after I receive your selections.
