Camp Westwind is a very special place... I probably mentioned at least a dozen times to Rob and Kristie during our first phone conversation with great enthusiasm. Camp Westwind, a stunning blend of striking Oregon coastline, lush green forests, and breathtaking vistas, was the perfect setting to capture their love story. It was also an ideal location for a weekend wedding party with close friends and family.
I had the privilege of photographing Allison and Ryan's wedding at Camp Westwind back in 2009 and had yearned to return ever since. Surprisingly, Rob and Kristie stumbled upon the same blog post on a Google search! I was overjoyed when they confirmed the booking.

The journey to the campsite was an adventure in itself. We crossed a river on a barge, hiked through the forest, and finally arrived at the main lodge. Stepping onto the beach for the first time was truly unforgettable.
Rob and Kristie were nothing short of kind, generous, and considerate throughout the planning process. They arranged a carpool from the airport in Portland with some of their friends and even invited me to bring a plus one. Their friends and family welcomed me with open arms, making me feel like one of their own from the moment we met. It was remarkable that people didn’t even realize I was the photographer until I revealed my camera.
The entire wedding was an absolute blast to photograph. From our pre-wedding hike to their hilarious officiant, who played “The Dude" quite well, to their ring-bearing dog, Dingo, who they affectionately called the “Ding” bearer, Rob and Kristie’s wedding was a true celebration of love and joy.
Thank you so much, Rob and Kristie, for sharing this incredible experience with me. You and your family and friends are truly amazing, and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. I am eternally grateful for the opportunity to have captured your special day.
