Ed and Candela, my close friends, had their intimate Ibiza wedding ceremony at Església Nuestra Sra. Del Carmen, nestled in the charming town of Es Cubells on the southwestern tip of the island.
Although I wasn’t hired as a professional photographer, I found myself unexpectedly at the wedding as a guest. Unfortunately, their hired second shooter encountered delays due to Air France air controller strikes in Paris. Candela’s brother kindly asked if I could capture the ceremony and the groom’s preparations.
Fortunately, I had some photography gear with me, so I was more than happy to lend a hand. I stepped out of the pool and got to work, documenting the groom’s preparations and the ceremony. Once the ceremony concluded, I reverted to my role as a guest, enjoyed a glass of champagne, and enjoyed the rest of the day as a guest.
