Important details:

Prices are inclusive of all state and federal taxes. I accept payments by mailed check, Venmo or ACH transfer only.

To secure a date for a wedding or elopement, I require a 30% retainer as well as a signed agreement.  The remaining 70%, plus the cost of anything you would like to add after the contract is signed, is due one week before the event.

For proposals, engagement shoots and other standalone events, payment is due at the end of the session and no deposit is required.  Please contact me directly for information about standalone pricing.

If you book both videography and photography, I will be the principal photographer and the two videographers will be sub-contracted.  If you book videography only, I will be the principal videographer working with an additional shooter.  For all bookings, I will be responsible for the editing and delivery of all finalized content.  I will also be your main point of contact for the entire process.

If you have any questions about pricing, you may contact me directly at +1 310-874-7321 or at info@jonathanmoorephoto.com.

Thank you very much for your consideration.

MORE ABOUT PHOTOGRAPHY

What is an associate photographer?

An associate is someone who will cover your wedding on my behalf at a lower rate. My associates are all exceptionally talented photographers that shoot in a very similar style and approach. If you choose to work with an associate, I will still be your main point of contact and I will also be responsible for the editing and final delivery of all content. I will also provide the contact information of your photographer should you have any questions for them.

Tell me about wedding photography:

For smaller weddings, I will be your principal photographer. For larger weddings, there will always be two photographers present (myself and a second shooter), at least 8 hours of coverage and a password protected online gallery where you may view, download and order prints of your wedding photos. Add-on packages with additional coverage, larger albums and engagement shoots are available as well.

For destination weddings, the rates and packages remain the same, but all travel expenses (i.e. airfare, incidentals, ground transportation and lodging) must be covered for one or two photographers. In exchange, we will extend our coverage to include any non-wedding related activities (i.e. hanging out by the pool, hiking, exploring, various adventures and activities) at no additional charge. This will ensure the complete story of the weekend is told.

Why should I have two photographers?

Having two photographers will always ensure better coverage. For example, while I capture the action (you walking down the aisle), my second photographer will capture the reaction (the look on your partner's face). While I am covering you preparing, my second shooter will cover your partner. While the three of us are making beautiful sunset portraits, my second shooter can cover details and cocktail hour. While I am capturing you both reading your vows, my second shooter will photograph guest reactions. The list goes on...

Please also note that my second shooters are not just inexperienced assistants or recent photography students. They are talented, independent professionals who also have their own businesses and share a very similar documentary style approach.

MORE ABOUT VIDEOGRAPHY

Tell me about videography:

Videography can be booked either in addition to photography or as a stand-alone service. If you are booking videography alone, I will be your principal videographer working with a second shooter. If you are booking both videography and photography, the two videographers will be sub-contracted and I will be the principal photographer (unless you are working with an associate).

For all bookings, I will handle all post-production activities (i.e. sound mixing, editing, color grading etc) as well as the final delivery of all content. The turn-around time for videography editing is approximately six weeks. I will also be your main point of contact throughout the entire process, though I will also be sure to connect you with your videographers should you have any questions for them.

Do I need really videography coverage?

As a photographer by trade, I personally would prioritize budget on still coverage over video, however, I do think that having the luxury to relive the very best moments of your wedding in video form might be worth the extra expense.

Even if you don't plan on watching the video very often, you should consider the value of having your vows, toasts and other spoken moments recorded beautifully so you can listen to them again and again in the future. The latest smartphones might be great at capturing video, but sound won't be so great, especially if there is a lot of ambient noise in the background.

Do you offer hourly rates?

Yes, if your event is broken into multiple days and you are looking for something a bit more customized, the hourly rate for videography is as follows:

$500/hour for one shooter
$800/hour for two shooters

Ready to begin? Booking is easy:

1. Connect

Use the form below to let me know you are interested. I will always respond within one business day. If I am available on the requested date, I will send you everything you need to know. If I am not available, I can connect you with an associate or if you prefer, I will offer you a referral.

2. Meet

I always prefer to meet in person as long as it is convenient. We can also connect by FaceTime or phone if you prefer. During our meeting, I will go over my approach to working with couples and you'll share with me your goals and expectations with regards to photography. We'll discuss pricing and packages and of course, we'll review any questions and concerns you may have.

3. Say yes!

The next step is to confirm that you would like to book and to specify exactly which services you want. I will then email the contract. Just sign, pay the 30% retainer and your date is confirmed! All payments can be made either by mailed check, or online by credit card, ACH transfer or Venmo.
