Welcome to part two of Sam and Shirin’s wedding weekend in Lyme New Hampshire! To see images of their rehearsal dinner and to read about how I met Shirin, check out part one of this post!
Shirin opted not to have coverage for hair and makeup. Instead, she send me over to Loch Lyme Lodge to take pictures of her friends hanging out by the lake, where I struggled to take photos while rowing on the lake! Good times indeed…
The wedding ceremony took place on a family friend’s farm just outside town. I instantly fell in love with the location as soon as I saw it. Open fields, beautiful views, an idyllic red farm house and a ceremony overlooking all of it. It was just beautiful!
As Shirin’s family is Persian, they had a semi-traditional Iranian wedding ceremony complete with a Sofreh Aghd, though instead of facing away from their guests, Sam and Shirin chose to sit on the opposite end of the table, facing their guests. Shirin’s brother was the officiant and spoke beautifully!
After the ceremony ended, we proceeded with our portrait shoot, which unfortunately did not last quite as long as I would have liked, given how amazing the light was! Regardless, we got some nice images 🙂 The reception took place on the property of Breakfast on the Connecticut — a small B&B outside of town.
All of these events were masterfully coordinated by Melanie Voros of Blissful Beginnings Weddings & Event Design. Melanie had excellent communication throughout out the day and handled everything with great efficiency!
