Q: Do you do both weddings and elopements?
A: Yes. I cover larger, traditional weddings as well as smaller, more intimate elopements.
Q: Who will be shooting my wedding?
A: For weddings, there will always be 2 shooters present. Me (of course) and a second photographer who has a very similar style. For smaller elopements it will be me alone, unless a second shooter is specifically requested.
Q: Will you do family posed shots?
A: Absolutely. I am happy to take as many group shots as you’d like, but since very few people (including me), enjoy this process, I always try to get through group shots as efficiently as possible so that your guests can enjoy themselves.
Q: Where are you located?
A: I live in Santa Monica, California and I am happy to travel wherever your wedding or elopement takes place.
Q: Do you do destination weddings? What is your policy on travel expenses?
A: Absolutely! So far, I have covered weddings in Spain, UK and Mexico. I would very much like to expand that list! Regarding travel expenses, the cost for flights, ground transportation and lodging is not included and will be factored into the price. Whenever possible, however, I will arrange for lodging and/or ground transportation with friends and pass that savings along to you.
Q: Are your prices set in stone?
A: For the most part, yes, however, I do offer reduced rates if your wedding is scheduled on a weekday (Monday – Thursday) or between the months of December and March. I also offer a special discount for all current and former members of the military (thank you for your service) as well as fellow alumni of USC (fight on!!). Please contact me for more details.
Q: When will I see the images?
A: Typically it will take between three and four weeks for me to finish processing, at which point you will receive two links: the first is to view your proofs in a password-protected gallery and second is to download your high-resolution images (for printing) and low resolution images (for devices/social media). All media files are delivered by DropBox. I no longer use CDs or DVDs or for any purpose.
Q: What kind of equipment do you use?
A: Currently, I shoot with two Nikon D810s and a range of Nikon prime and zoom lenses. For lighting, I will either use Nikon speedlites or Profoto strobes (triggered by remote) depending on the conditions. For editing, I use a the Apple iMac and a MacBook Pro.
Q: Do you cover weddings and/or Beloved sessions for LGBT couples?
A: Definitely. I run a gay-friendly business and I strongly support marriage equality.

Q: How far should I book in advance? What are the next steps?
A: Generally speaking, people usually book about one year in advance, though occasionally I do get some last minute requests. I would encourage you to reach out regardless of how far out your date is.
The prepayment amount is 30%. This is due along with any non-refundable travel expenses (if applicable) at the time the contract is signed. The remaining 70%, plus any items added after the contract signing, is due one week before the wedding.
